Hi All
Just joined the forum
I am having a nightmare with the belt as if the job is not painful enough cannot seem to get the right belt for it .
Jaguar supplied me with a JAC2C37055 BUT guessing it's an 1" to large its a double sided 8 rib type
The car is a 2009 Jaguar XKR Supercharged convertible vin SAJAA44SAJAA44G499B31t has to be the double sided type which is correct but now am baffled as to the correct belt as you know there not cheap
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Nigel
Hi Guy
fitted the new one and baggy so removed measured both old and new half an inch difference in circumference the old being smaller thought maybe someone played with the pulley wheel diameter but doubt it as it would be bigger so bit stumped as another reply has aaid correct part for the job so very confussed
Thanks for your help have dived into the job replaced the accessory drive belt all good, refitted original supercharger belt so all works OK a question
are the belt tensioners fixed once fitted or are they adjustable eg can you move them and then tighten up if so yes I could take the slack up never played with it
cheers
Belt tensioners are "spring loaded" so effectively they are self adjusting to take up slack in the belt. You normally need to rotate the tensioner with a wrench to fit the belt.
Hi Graham
ok thanks for the brief in it's current state once the new one is fitted the tensioner will not take the slack up on the new belt
After a bit of sniffing around on the Web have found a part number that may resolve my issue 8DPK1355 Dayco belt think the size should sort my issue out will have to waite for the belt ordered on amazon at least changing the accessories drive belt fixed my chirping prob and getting better at flipping the belt .
will get back once my new belt turns up thanks for your help
