Jaguar XK 2007, 4.2 radiator exchange
hi,
after an accident my water radiator is broken. A new one will cost me $800 and it seems that they are no aftermarket radiators for the xk 2007 onward available except from jaguar !. I could get a new aftermarket radiator for about $150 but it would be for a XK8 2005, it looks a little bit diffrent but I think it could fit except the oil cooler inlets for the auto gearbox. Does anyone had a similar problem or a solution !?
Thanks
Frank

These do not appear to be interchangeable based on part number.
First attachment is XJ8
Second is X150
Punching them into kaka parts.com confirms to me they aren't interchangeable on paper. Someone else may have real world experience however.

Hi Frank,
An aftermarket radiator that should fit and may be available in Germany is Mahle/Clevite CR1965000P. In the U.S., Rock Auto usually carries this part but they are currently out of stock. Since Mahle is based in Stuttgart, perhaps you will be able to find one in Germany.
P.S. Off the top of my head, the original radiator in your car may have been made by Behr, but Behr is now part of Mahle, so the part number above may even be the same part you would get at a Jaguar dealership.
Cheers,
Don
