Default Jaguar XK X150 2006. Battery drain issue

Hi
Is it possible to install remote control cut out switch on jag xk 2006 without activating car alarm?
If i don't drive my car for three days car battery goes dead..installed brand new battery last november..which requires regular charge to keep it going.Tried installing cut out switch with remote but it keeps activating car alarm on switching it off.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
Did you installed the cut-out well???
If it works it should cut the battery... so, no more electricity... and no more alarm.

Yes, when the switch is returned to the Connected Mode, the car will act as if the battery was just reconnected, which it was. The alarm will sound and you will need to do a couple resets. The window travel and possibly the E-Brake.

Really?

I replugged the battery a few time after long disconnection , yesterday after 3 weeks for example, and never had the alarm screaming.

I do every time. Maybe your alarm is faulty.

Mine has a mind of it's own - sometimes it alarms, sometime it don't.

Car alarm works fine and cut out switch installed as per instruction.
If car is not alarmed activating cut out switch by (pressing OFF) works fine..once car is alarmed activating cut out switch by( pressing ON) activates car alarm.

seems like a lot of effort is spent on a avoiding the root cause of your problems. And providing a work around as opposed to a fix.
A battery should not be depleting after a mere 3 days.

Not sure if it is related.Pedestrian protection system error in red appears on screen depending on weather.
Cold days no error message but on warm days message pops up might be draining the battery.

This Pedestrian Protection issue is probably related to a faulty sensor behind the nose cone.
when they start to go it can be dependent on temp. My was
Plenty of posts on this on the UK forum.
I don’t think this system is on the US models.

A down load of fault codes will show if this is the case.
They are around £140 each and there are 2 fitted.

There is a small sounder fitted under the bonnet catch drivers side (UK)
I have read that if this goes faulty then it can drain the battery. You can unplug it to check.
Its a Ford item the same as a Fiesta.

Could be disabled in the UK. It’s used when locking the car and you get a beep. Mine is programmed not to.
I changed mine when it started to sound occasionally like a Geiger counter.

The proper approach should be to attach an meter that measures electrical flow. Electricians have one where a loose C is placed around a battery cable to measure outflow. Then its a matter of methodically removing/replacing a fuse at a time, to get the flow to drop. When it does, you have the guilty unit.

Thanks.
Do i have to go to specialist for (disable )programming or it can be done by myself?

I believe it needs to be enabled /disabled in SDD so a specialist is required.
Does your car beep or double beep when locking or double locking.

I suspect that if the sounder is faulty then just by disabling the beep then it could still run the battery down

Car does beep on double locking.
Will there be any warning light on dash if sounder cable under bonnet catch drivers side is removed as suggested earlier?

I have read some where on forum that its better buy your own SDD for JLR rather than paying specialist.
Any Recommendations?
There are few discs advertised on ebay are they any good with some cable?

I was to it last summer and then I was told you can brick your car...So I didn't do so.
It need a specific windows computer (just have Macs around) , a specific cable and even though you can brick the car..
