I find the road noise plus music a bit too much. My solution is earplugs lightly inserted enough to damp the tweeters and road noise and crank up the vol. I use my ipad with my ripped cds on it. Usually I do short trips so I listen to When In Rome by Genesis (audio ripped from the DVD's) - The bass and drum riff starting here at 27:45 just womps right out:

I might try something along the lines of Q&C 3M tape trick and then disable the tweeter:

I tried that a few times, didn't do any good. My ears are still quite good also, except the exact frequency of my wife's voice for some reason.

Cee Jay, I think that the early versions of the Tesla style screen were problematic. I waited awhile and chose the vendor pretty carefully. Mine has all of the OEM settings included except the ability to clear warnings. I leave my obd2 device plugged in all the time for torque pro gauges and can quickly clear any codes. I had the Old Jaguar unit and it worked very well…I wanted something that sounded better with all options and a backup camera. I use the Agama launcher so it’s easy to navigate around the screen…

I'd do this in a minute....but too many stories about features not supported (though it looks like arenaej solved a lot of them through careful vendor selection) and more important, no practical support from China. Breaks? Throw it away! Is not my preference.

I've been happy since I bought the car with my Samsung Galaxy via the OldJag bluetooth module connected to the OEM head. That fixes the obsolete Nav system; fixes the crappy radio/Satellite with Radio Garden,Tidal and Spotify; and my 300 gigs of lossless files gives me all the music I care to own. I wouldn't mind replacing the head's old amp with a better one...but a clear input to the current amp is good enough. And all it cost me was $125 and a half hour to hook it up. It just works, and has worked fine for 4 years.

Just not interested with tech I have to fight with and can't trust.
