Hi David,

I am puzzled by your description of your car. Your Public Profile says it's a 2009 XKR-S Portfolio Arden, and that you're in Puerto Rico.

The 4.2L Jaguar XKR-S was a European-market only, limited-edition made for the final year of the 4.2L production and was not sold in the USA. The 4.2L XKR-S was marketed as a 2008 model because the 5.0L European models began in 2009 (2010 in North America). The 4.2L XKR Portfolio was a North American limited-edition model that was available in 2008 and 2009.

Arden is an aftermarket German tuner.
https://www.arden.de/en/refinement/

Can you post some pictures of your car, in particular a wheel and a door sill plate? The 4.2L XKR-S came from the factory with Vortex wheels and the 2009 XKR Portfolio came from the factory with Selena wheels. Your car might have Arden wheels and other Arden mods. How long have you owned your XKR-S and what is the VIN? That'll tell us exactly what you have.

Can you explain what the problem is that you're having with the Bluetooth? Is it not pairing with your phone? Are you trying to stream music using Bluetooth? I'm not sure if the Bluetooth module you referenced (6W83-10D893-AE) is correct for your car.

See this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...riment-152498/

Hope this helps.

Stuart

David

Welcome

You really need to share:

1) How long you've had the car?
2) Has it always done this/had this fault?
3) If a recent/new fault if anything electrical has been done to the car?

I found this 4.2L XKR Arden video, but it doesn't say much. The original tail lights were replaced with the 5.0L LED version, and the wheels, exhaust and diffuser are aftermarket Arden. The reason it's definitely a 4.2L XKR is the front bumper fog light design. It appears that the claimed 480HP is from ECU and exhaust mods.

Wow! that’s a lot of aftermarket trim.
What’s with the slot on the nose? And not crazy about the trim over the trunk lid lights, kind ruins the flow between the light units, but otherwise kind of cool.

It’s a Naca duct but to what I don’t know. Perhaps it’s decorative. Otherwise I actually like the body kit (bumper covers & side skirts).

So the above article pictured a black one, the OP has a grey one, so they made at least two.
Wonder if they made any others.

Actually it is dark blue. This is the one Arden used for its early marketing campaigns for the AJ20. Later on they came up with a black XKR-S AJ20 RS.

So a unicorn has been found back to David's original query, for his car it would be fair to say that Arden didn't mess with the BT module, so is the module he needs a US or European one (am guessing they may be different for frequency reasons)?

I do wonder how it got across to Puerto Rico
