Default Just Bought IT, 2010 Jaguar XKR convertible

Hi Everyone, after watching every XKR on sold since the last year. I finally made the move. For this XKR. We took the train from Montreal to Toronto on Thursday and Drove in an horrible weather. More the 15 cars in the ditch on are road. It took me 11 hrs for a normal 6 hours drive. However we all arrived safe. My Wife, me and the JAG.

Just want to say hello...

Dominic

Congrats! I was going to say 'nice garage' but I figured out it was the dealership. Still, nice showroom. Gives me ideas...

Dominic, did you purchase your new car at Coventry North Jaguar, by any chance? I was there last week and saw a car just like yours in the detail bay.

Yes, Budd's in Oakville. They are very good and have a great reputation.

Best of luck with your new acquisition. It looks beautiful. Now you have to wait a few months before you can put the top down. I just got mine a few weeks ago and all I can do is look at it in my garage. It's driving me nuts. Do you plan on driving yours through a Montreal winter?

One thing I about the winter in my XK is that the door latches do not spring well when it's cold out. The door just bounces and does not close. Sometimes I have to use a heat gun in order to get the door to fully close. Happens on both sides and have greased both of them. Boston is not as cold as it is for you Canadiens.

Hi no, i do not plan to drive it anymore in winter storm.

One is enough. However i do not have to complain about the car behaviour on very slippery road. Of course i drove it slow.

Happy holidays all.

Default Holy crap!

Holy crap, you drove through that mess in an XKR as your first ride as an owner. That must have been scary! The torque on these cars is hard to control on dry warm pavement let alone a snow storm. I don't know how you managed. Glad to hear you made it safely and congratulations on your purchase. You are definitely on Santa's nice list!

Zackly what I was thinking. Hard to find a car with that colour scheme. Indigo with Caramel leather - I want the coupe version of that....
