Just had to do it

Just had to do it
OK so we had a break in the weather today with the thermometer going up to 30*F and no snow. This was the 1st day in a month or so that was above 20*F and it did not snow. I only have maybe 4-5 foot of snow in my yard and so much that I am running out of room to plow it. So I took down the R today and uncovered it. Disconnected the smart charger and cranked it up after 8 weeks of rest. Fired up and let it sit for maybe 10 minutes until I could put the rams on the lift and back it off. All of the roads were dry and some had some remaining salt dust but I would blow it down after I came back. Went for a 20min ride where all of the fluids warmed up then on the way home did a clean the injectors tune up in 2nd , 3rd and 4th . Other then lumpy tires in the beginning everything was great and got a smile back on my face. I put it back to bed and will wait for another month to get it back out again.
Car asleep , car awake , car asleep.
Car asleep , car awake , car asleep.

Happy/sad for you. There has been ONE snow here this winter, Christmas day of all days. It was gone by Dec 27th and has been in the 40s, 50s and even 60s a couple days since. I've driven my XKR a couple time a week every week this 'winter'. Sad, but I have an appointment tomorrow but it's supposed to rain/snow for an hour when I'll be gone, so it's in the garage for the R and I'll take the truck. Oh, and I live in Northern Utah.... "GREATEST SNOW ON EARTH", just not THIS year.......

Another GT-R is looking pretty good now.
I can`t get my cat out of the garage or down my driveway. I hate to let the XKR go but it is not practical in snow and ice bound Canada. I`ve had some low ball offers, but I will not let such a nice car go under fair value. I have my eye on the next generation NSX in a spyder model when it is available. Thought about a P car 911 turbo but just can`t get use to the old design--it hasn`t evolved.

Reading these posts I feel lucky to live in CA where I can take my summer tire equipped cars out any time. I lived in snow region before and the only thing better than this would be the South Pacific... but, on those islands you could not stretch the legs of these cars.
With that, off to a nice drive and a great lunch today to the "winter regions" of CA, Lake Tahoe area, 6-7000' elevations. Sunny, temps are said to be in the 50s up there, 70s where I live in the foothills. Toss the coin; XJL or XKR today...? Life is good!

I never new Ferrari's were good at plowing snow... Thanks for the offer. I have my own on my truck; the plow has been on the truck for over a month. Normally I unattach it after using it, but this month has been a nightmare. What`s that white stuff behind your XKR (question mark key not working). Looks familiar. I should post a picture of my driveway with 5 inches of ice.

We were supposed to be below 20 degrees on Tuesday (actually got to 28) so since there wasn't going to be any melting water on the roadways, I decided to take the XK. It was nice to get out, though frustrating to inch along in rush-hour traffic. I got about 10 minutes into the traffic and was reminded why I never take it to work.
