Just how good do you think a 2013 C-X16 would look parked next to the XKR?

I was going to wait for the XE but for health reasons and a great 24 mo lease I pulled the trigger on the XKR. To answer Bruce's question, the car will be quite a bit smaller and look much more modern but less classic looking. I do think our car's will probably be the last model to have these classic looks; as I reported in May of last year the Jaguar rep told me two things 1) the XE was stunning and 2) the new XK was moving more upmarket and becoming larger true 2+2.

Not long ago I would have agreed with the need for a manual option on any "real" sports car, but that's changed with the vastly superior autos with manual paddle shifters. Lots of hard-core sports cars like the GT-R are autos only (is it Ferrari that stopped offering manuals), and many find they can't even shift better in manual mode with them on a race track. Times are changing, and where I could not have foreseen myself every buying a sports car with an automatic, now a manual seems like a throw-back to another era...and especially on an upscale sportscar!

...okay, thought about it, still prefer the look of the Jaag!

To me, at first glance the NSX looks awfully Lamborghini-ish. Which isn't a bad thing, I guess, but Lamborghini seems to get away with a lot because the "spaceship angles" thing almost seems like a trademark for them.
For me I'm not sure about the super-angly, lots of sharp edges thing. When the Cadillac CTS first came out, I thought it looked so cool because it was so different. Today I look at them and I sort of feel like they went down a design road and nobody decided to follow them. I don't think they're ugly or anything, but that design style definitely wore off for me.

I spoke with the sales manager when getting my car serviced today and he claims the C-X16 is a go, and surprise...it will be released as a convertible first. He dodged the question about whether it was "official", but claimed big Ian had told him it was a go, and that the hybrid "push to pass" was tested to over 180 hp, although production would be 95 ish. The sales manager suspects it will more likely be available early 2013 as a 2014.
