My 2008 XKR coupe locks/unlocks with the keyless function. As of today, car will unlock from the passenger's side (just pulling the handle) but will NOT lock by pressing the outside button on the handle. Driver side works fine (lock/unlock with keyless function).
Any ideas? Could it be a blown fuse?
The LH and RH Door Handles are the same. You could switch them over to determine whether it's simply a push button fault or something more serious.
The button is removeable but not available as a separate part from Jaguar. The Door Handle is a Volvo part (I think from the C60) and the button may be available separately from Volvo.
If it's not the push button, the operating features of the Door Handle are all inside the door in the Reinforcement - another Volvo manufactured part:
The Door Handle harness connects to the socket arrowed in red. The socket arrowed in green goes to the Door Latch. The microswitch circled in blue opens the Door Latch.
