Kid's broke XKR, maybe I took on too much?

Yes, the only actual REPAIR I did was the new catalytic converter. I did the while I'm there stuff, cleaned the injectors, new plugs, new gaskets and such, but nothing else.
I can't say I totally fixed it, as I still need to do a lengthy road test to see if anything shows up. Oh yeah, and a new battery.
So far it's cost only my labor and just under $500, and then another $200 or whatever for the battery. MUCH better than the $28,000 that shop quoted.

There isn't much you could have done to cause a large fuel leak in the valley. There is that crossover fuel hose that snakes around the forward supercharger mount, and that's about it. Did you have all that out?
Check also you don't have a leak at the pressure transducers on the fwd ends of the fuel rail.

@mhminnich I checked all those places, sensor mounts and cross-over and such. All was well.
Found it! Yeah, after I had to remove the intake tubes, throttle body, plenum, blower, crossover coolant manifold, and the right intercooler.
The O-ring retainer to the fuel rail is cracked, and I guess the o-ring got pushed weird inside the rail pocket. Since the retainers are unobtanium unless you get a full set of injectors, I got a new set of o-rings and I'll be careful.

It's just the tiny fiber washer-type thing on the very end, it fits a bit inside the top groove not very well. I got a tighter fitting O-ring to help it retain better this time. As long as I'm careful it should be okay.

So it was just the O-ring not seating right on the intake or perished? So basically all that cracked bit does is provide a support for the O-ring on fitting the injector?
#137
Correct. The small fiber washer-type thing just holds the O-ring from moving off the injector. It snaps into the groove at the very top. A crappy design, an extra part which could be replaced with a different design.

It's good to see inside the guts in case I have to go in there myself. I'm thinking I could have done the valley hose job instead of the Jag dealer that screwed up the throttle bottle gasket. - my back ain't the best though.

The only hoses in this valley are for the throttle body heat. That's not necessary anyway, I thought about cutting it off and bypassing it, but Not My Car.

Those are the ones - supposedly to stop icing in the TB. I was concerned with aging of the hoses - maybe being paranoid, if Jag had given us a temp gauge maybe it would be easier on the mind.
