Knock Offs/Wire Wheels

Chaos236,
I doubt that you'll find anyone who has put knockoff wire wheels on their 2007-up XK/XKR. In 1963 I put Dayton knockoff wire wheels on my 1960 Corvette and regretted it, so I speak from experience.
Dayton can manufacture knockoff wire wheels to fit almost every car. Here's the link to their website: Dayton Wire Wheels They have various styles including 20" both bolt-on and knockoff. They do look great, but...
One problem with knockoffs is that you need a heavy cast iron adapter that bolts onto your existing wheel studs. That adapter has a threaded shaft. You slide the knockoff wheel over that shaft and then screw the knockoff cap on to secure the wheel and give it a few whacks with the lead hammer.
Dayton claims their wire wheels don't go out of balance and are made for tubeless tires, but that wasn't my experience after 5 years. That was a long time ago and they've probably improved a lot. Nevertheless, you couldn't pay me enough to put wire wheels on my XKR. Sure, they may look great but they're not worth the aggravation, in my opinion.
