All - I am new to this all. I have had the benefit of using the search function but haven't quite found (assuming it exists) what I am searching for. If any of you konw where the bluetooth antenna is and can orient me toward it, I would appreciate it. I konw where the bluetooth module is (I am assuming the antenna is NOT inside that black box).

Car is a 2012 XK (no supercharger) with premium sound.

The Workshop Manual in the Stickies at the top of this Forum might have the answer.

 

Thank you for the guidance, but the workshop manual above does not cover my SN car. Up to MY 2009 the Bluetooth antenna appears to be located in the rear hatch, near the window.

The electrical manual does but I do not read schematics very well and they don't really say where the antenna is located.

As an aside, the radio and nav amplifier modules are in the rear seat, right by the fuse box. I was hoping to see a bluetooth antenna in there somewhere.

 

I think the antenna is inside the bluetooth module. Never heard of any device using a external bluetooth antenna.

Did you every figure out where the antenna is. Having the same issue found the Nav and radio but not the Bluetooth?

 

Yes, the bluetooth is on the inside of the cabin behind the rear upper seat back on the bulkhead. It is on the starboard side of the car. It looks like a little Ghirardelli square with a wire coming out of the bottom, leading into the trunk area. Super easy to remove.

Older models had the antenna elsewhere on the body. My guess is that reception was poor so they moved it inside the cabin. Even newer models put the antenna in the actual bluetooth module. Again, not sure on specifics or strength of signal.
