An inspection at a dealer is a good idea, though as mentioned no reported issues on the Car Fax which is usually a good sign.

We'll keep looking around but maybe go see it, not sure if a dealer named "Loki" can be trusted. lol We are looking at other options (besides Jag) as well. One of the bonuses is to fit TWO sets of golf clubs (cart bags) in the trunk - almost impossible to find in a convertible.

Thanks again!
Koko I just recently did the whole braking system including rebuild callipers at its a 2007

The other thing to look out for is the rear suspension / bushes / ball joints

You mind sharing at what cost? We're now looking at a couple of other 2007s around 20-30K miles and besides knowing what things to look for specifically that are known gremlins - a bit of a cost preview of expected maintenance items would be very helpful! :-)

One we're looking at has just had a brand new top put on it by the dealer. A 2007 with 20K miles so it was possibly not garaged - or had something go bad.

Koko all parts will be bought through the shop and fitted by me so no labor charges involved just the price of the parts

The rotors I bought online from U.S as I wanted slotted upfront and the pads I got from local supplier

Yet to get price on rear bushes / ball joints (suspension) but the other big thing is to make sure the dealer has gotten the thermostat replaced I don't see much change out of 1k for a job like that
