Looking for C2P2186 Heater Hose - 2006 XK
Hi Folks
Seems my MY2007 XK has a coolant leak in C2P2186 Heater Hose. Car is currently with Jaguar authorised service but after 2 weeks are still no closer to being able to advise when the part will be available. Have checked a number of parts sites both here in Australia and also the UK however all state that the part would be a back order. I am yet to find out where the leak is coming from exactly but suspect one of the hoses that are part of this part.
So questions I have
- Anyone got a new one in a box somewhere that they would be willing to move on?
- What do folks do here if the part is unobtainium?
for reference this is the part https://www.sngbarratt.com/English/#...f-5db075cba04d with a photo.
thanks in advance
Richard

If the new part is not available, I would take one of the following approaches once I have located the where the leak is in the rubber hosing:
a) If the leak area is accessible and in the body of the hose rather than the end connector, you could bind the leaking/split area with self-amalgamating tape. This will last as long as the original hose.
b) It looks as if the end connectors are clipped to a length of standard EPDM heater hosing. A number of sizes are used but it is probably 13mm or 16mm but you can measure it once you have the pipe off or get a good idea by measuring the external diameter whilst the hose is on the car and buy a short length of a couple of sizes just to be on the safe side. Then cut the new hose to length, remove the clips and replace the split hosing with new. This will be as good as the original part and at a tenth of the price. 👍
