Here we go again! This Forum has more opinions on tires than dogs have fleas! Just search and you'll be overwhelmed.
How can we give you any meaningful advice without knowing your budget, driving style, and other factors that are important to you in choosing a tire?
5L XKR models come from the factory with staggered 20" wheels.

Also make sure to check the wheel size. I'm not sure but I believe that in the US, 19" wheels were standard and 20" were options. The option wheels were often speced but it is no guarantee.
Front Tire Size 245/40ZR19
Rear Tire Size 275/35ZR19
Or
Front Tire Size 255/35ZR20
Rear Tire Size 285/30ZR20
If you don't have a record, post a photo and someone will recognize the wheel and size.
Have a look at a few tyre tests on the likes of Tirerack.com to get a better idea of what is available and how they compare on performance and price. Any of the well known brands will be a safe-enough choice. Some might be a little better than others but the well known brand don't make poor tyres anymore. Many of the second-stream brands are pretty good too but probably aren't much cheaper.

I just put on a unique tire. I wanted the Michelin MPS4.
I found a tire with nearly identical performance, a tad bit less grip in summer. But more than makes up for it in other areas, wet, and ice.
Michelin AS3+
It has the same 2 separate compounds on different areas like MPS4
Also I got the Zero-prussure for just a few dollars more. (run flat)

They are noisier than the Michelin X-Ice tires I run on it in the winter, and would guess the run flats are even noisier.
Be interesting to hear your opinion, but then what tires did they replace?

What's the feedback on Hankook? I've read good things IIRC. I'm not near a new set yet. I'm running Bridgestone Pole Position S-04 and find they handle fine but are a little loud for my taste and I'm hearing impaired. I've had the Michelin Pilots on my last Jaguar and found them to be too noisy, again, for me, but handled well.
I don't like the road noise. I want to hear kitty, not concrete.

All things even, I'll probably get them again next time, unless I fall to peer pressure and try the Contis.

I have the non-run flat A/S 3+ on my other car, and find them to be pretty noisy.

Will let you know. I came from Pilot Sport 3.
(This was a bit of a covid19 reality buy for me. Realized I might actually be doing grand touring instead of flying.
The princy poodle tires meant for the track and above 40degree operation might not cut it anymore.
Its 500 UTQG or double that of most toy/track tires.)

I've had Hankook Ventus EVO 2 tires the last two replacement times. I'm quite happy with the performance and noise. The only complaint I have is that they seem to flat-spot from sitting a little sooner than some other tires I've had, but that clears up within a couple miles of driving and is only noticeable at freeway speeds. Since all tires to this to some degree regardless, it's pretty much a non-issue.

My sentiments exactly. I have the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires on my XKR and have been very pleased with them. I have the Continental DWS-06 tires on my XJ and have been very pleased with them, too. They're both good values for my needs. Since I'm not at the point of needing new tires, I can't recommend one over the other but it'd probably come down to price.

For folks in the South however, the odds they will take their car out for the twice per year snowfall is rare. Yes it drops below 40 as well, also not common. Question is for the gents in the Southern US. Texas, Georgia, Florida, Southern Cal, Arizona, NM, etc... Wondering out loud

Why do you guys in the south go with Conti DWS instead of something like the Conti extreme contact DW as the S is for snow. I'd think it's unnecessary given the annual temps and limited snow and i'd think they'd cause a bit more road noise. Just wondering, it won't keep me up tonight:-)
My XJ is my year-round ride, unlike my XKR. I didn't want to put summer tires on the XJ as Atlanta gets well below 40°F very often and it snows here, too!.
Unlike summer tires, the DWS tire compound will grip below 40°F.
