Looking at an XKR 07 Convertible less than 10k miles. Are there any known problem areas or common issues to look out for? I'm reading convertible top and antenna, aside from those, are there any notable problem issues or things I should be looking out for ( I'm way beyond Carfax and accidents)? Are there any notable changes in the model years to consider? Before I drop a large chunk down, I prefer to ask the owners of similar cars for their thoughts, comments and recommendations. Greatly appreciate any insight you can provide. To clarify, I'm interested in the R model and a convertible.
Thanks for your help

Fastfranky,
I have had my 07 XKR for about four months and have not had any
major issues with the car. I'm coming from a Vette to a JaG, so it's been a big change. The over-all quality of the Jag is far superior than the Vette.
And the uniqueness if the XKR is well worth the price of admission.
I did have one problem with the car, the thermostat got stuck and was replaced under warranty. With less than 10K miles I would not hesitate to buy this car. Good luck to you.

You mean problems other than staying within 10% of the posted speed-limit?![Icon Wink](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Seriously though, a work colleague has an 08 XKR convertible without any known problems.
I've got a 10 XKR coupe and had some issues with the ACC (known to Jag - they even have a service bulletin re this) that were repaired under CPO.

I know in my old golf (LMAO) broken thermostat = car runs HOT HOT HOT HOT![Icon Hyper](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_hyper.gif)
In my toyota (double LOL) broken thermostat = car doesn't heat up... strange how different companies design the fail mechanisms.
Oh well I could live with that. 85k that's pretty solid. Hope you're not getting rock chips galore
