Default Lowering Suspension

Hi Guy's

I bought some XKRS Bilsten (yellow) shocks and springs thinking this would lower my car as a bolt on mod.

However it hasn't, car is still the same height, I'm confused!
Is this because of the automatic height adjustment thing these do?
If so how do you get around this? can you fiddle with the height sensors? does anyone make adjustable height sensors?

I swear when I first fitted them, when I lowered the ramp, the car dropped onto the suspension then raised up a little bit.

These cars do not have adjustable height, only dampening. You may need to let the car settle or likely the springs fittted are the same as what you had before. There are lower springs available from Spires.

There is only 10mm front and 15mm rear difference between XKR and XKR-S ride height.

2 years after fitting the XKR-S springs & shocks to my XKR, they have well & truly settled and the car is visibly lower than a standard XKR, but at the time they were installed it didn't look any different.

Huh, interesting you say you didn't notice any difference. maybe I need to park next to a standard XKR. or I should of measured it! lol

I saw on another thread after posting that spires do some, when I was looking last year, before I bought the XKRS shocks, I couldn't find anyone that made them for the 2010+ cars
£300 is pretty reasonable so might give that a go.

10mm is so minuscule you probably wouldn't even notice it with the naked eye... Now the 15mm you probably could tell if you had two vehicles next to each other...
