Manual Control of Rear Quarter Windows

Manual Control of Rear Quarter Windows
A non technical friend of mine has asked me if I can modify the circuitry of his 2007MY convertible XKR so that the rear quarter windows can be raised while the roof is down. I know how to do this on the XK8/XKR convertibles, but I have no wiring diagrams for his later car.
Can anyone say if such a modification is possible in his car and if so, any information on the relevant wiring arrangements would be very welcome!

Hi Astro-
I have attached the wiring diagram.
Unlike the XK8, which has external relays, the windows in the XK are controlled by electronic switches directly from the convertible top module. You can add external switches, but unless you also disconnect the bipolar drive from the top module, you have a shorting hazard should the module activate the windows at the same time as the new switch.
The convertible top module is located behind the left rear seat and left emergency roll-bar assembly.

Do you have a vert or a coupe. If you have a vert you can get the rear quarter window controller as an add-on to the JaguarWrangler.com One Touch top control system. A number of us on the forum have it and think very highly of it.
If you are looking for help here, two pieces of advise. Tell us more about your ride, such as whether it is an XK or XKR and as mentioned before if it is coupe or convertible. Second piece of advice; at the upper right corner is a search box. Make use of it as most the questions you have or will have have probably already been asked and answered. Welcome to the Forum and enjoy your ride.
