Hadn't heard of it.
I have to go a few years before I got my driver's liscence to find supercars that interest me a lot.
Are they doing just a "showing", or can you drive it?
I drove the Ferrari F8 press car this summer.
It was a nice contrast to a lot of modern cars in that it had minimal gauging and gadgets in the dash and center console.
Unlike the Corvette that tries to have both the plethora of switches and buttons like vintage air liner with the mega screens of phones and tablets.

Don''t know if I would be able to drive it, it just asked for an RSVP and says "be one of the first to see the unveiling."

I own a Granturismo and it has been dead reliable for 3 years while being very easy to DIY maintenance.
Then I come here (well, more the x351 board) and read the horror stories on the AJ 5.0 engine, $42,000 replacements, water pump busted and block cracked and my car is a paperweight, timing chain jumped, etc. And on Maserati life it's a bunch of TPMS battery issues, Satnav replacement, and toe and alignment setting debates.
But I have no idea how an all new car would be.

I don't believe it! I doubt real drivable versions of this car will ever see the light of day. Seven years ago, Maserati booth staffers at the Los Angeles Car Show were all but taking orders for the gorgeous concept Alfieri on display, promising a summer release. Seven years later, we're still waiting. As Tervuren said, "Is it just a "showing" or can you drive it."
And silvertonesx24, consider yourself very lucky. I personally know 3 Maserati owners who had their cars bought back by Maserati, and a fourth who blew his engine on the track on his first lap in it. I'll put the X150's reliability record up against Maserati's anytime.

The Granturismo is widely known to be reliable. The Quattroporte with the F1 (2005-2007) is not but once they switched over to the ZF 6HP it became the same. I have never once heard of someone blowing their engine on that car and I have been reading both MaseratiLife for years.
I don't know if I'd trust a brand new supercar from Maserati but this is 2020 not 1990 and manufacturing tolerances are much better plus the great resources of information online.

This Maserati is going be a huge success. The engine, engineering, and design are all home run's. Super impressive and if they come in lower than the other mid-engine marques (beyond Corvette), justifying the extra cash is going to be tough sell. Maserati has a good dealer network in the US and all of the next gen models look to be fantastic.
