matching engine codes

How to tell if the engine in 09 xkr is the original engine. How to match engine codes with the vin#.

Your local Jaguar dealer should be able to look at their system and get the build spec of your car and that also lists serial numbers.

Thanks u102768. Just bought used xkr car is in great shape but condition of engine does not seam to match the body oil leaks leaking water pump etc on 42000 miles.
