Default MICE

I have gone through the archives about mouse proffing,, but I must say that from having mice build a nest right against a mesh bag of moth ***** in a tractor, i can say that they just don't work! Are there any new products on the market ? Had bad luck with dryer sheets also !

Some additional ideas: 1. Irish Spring soap (I've hear people swear by it), 2. rags or cotton ***** soaked in peppermint oil, 3. "Rodent Repellant" packets you can buy at any local hardware store that are full of similar smelling spices/herbs/plants (I used these in my basement, seem to work well, all natural and actually smell quite nice, if a bit strong)

Keep food stuff away from the cars. Sticky traps to intercept them before they get to the cars. A five gallon bucket with 3" of water, a yard stick and some peanut butter does wonders as long as they don't decompose. If the water freezes you just need to play 'whack-a-mole' with them.

My wife bought one of the electronic repellents and we've been averaging a mouse a week in the house since...

It's a farmers mouse trap. 3" of water in the bucket, little peanut butter spread around the rim. Yardstick acts like a pirates gang plank from the ground up over the buckets rim. Hungry mouse fall into the bucket trying to get the butter. They can't swim forever and 3" of water keeps them from jumping out.

For rats substitute 8" of water and a bigger gang plank...

I use sticky poison traps which the mice seem to love Just set up in my attached garage and down in the basement. Usually get around 3 a week so no real big mice problem. For my chipmunks I use 22 bird shot.

The electronic trap has the most kills in my house. In fact, I have on under each car. I also use a dish sponge cut up and soaked in pepermint oil in the engine compartments.
