Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs Pirelli P Zero

I had 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted yesterday. They are definitely more track focused than the Pirelli P Zero original tires. I thought the car would feel a bit smoother with the new tires, but it feels more connected to the road. I feel the bumps more and the steering feels more responsive. I was expecting the car to feel smoother with fresh rubber. I don't track or drive the crap out of my car so I prefer a smoother feel. The tire pressure is set correctly - - I checked.
Nonetheless, I will enjoy the tires.

Like you I have a 2014 Dynamic R but a coupe with polybushes fitted, so my ride is even more taught than yours with MPS4S's fitted.
.I have gotten use to seperating my.teeth (whilst keeping my mouth closed( when going over bumps and potholes.
Strangely when I bought the car it came with a spare front vortex diamond cut alloy and when I had the car shod in the new rubber they noticed a buckle in the front passenger (UK) side.
Since i was getting 25% iff the tyres I got all 5 fitted and only last weekend took the buckled wheel for repair and then swapped on Tues for rashed passenger side one and the rashed one refurbed. The alloy repair specialist commented that the jaguar alloys were soft and forgiving with buckles easy to repair, unlike bmw alloys which were brittle and likely to shatter.
But the plus is, with over 10k miles covered my feonts hardly habe any wear and the rears are sitting at 6mm. I had considered a set of 19" as a spare set for my winter wheels but ended up getting a set of 29" black vulcans purely as thry fill the arches better.
You probs already know that the rear suspension is different from a normal R (same as the RS I believe), so you'll just have to get use to it...and get yourself a good dentist if you can't get into the habit of the teeth seperating trick

I put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my Audi, replacing the Pirelli P Zero's. The handling and braking dynamics are much better..... the ride is not as cushy. I can dial the suspension to comfort mode if I'm just going to dawdle down the road but I have lost that magic-carpet smoothness.. The Michelin's enhance my "point and shoot" nature when attacking twisty bits. I am particularly confident in off camber corners as the sidewalls just don't seem to flex at all. I think they are spectacular tires!
