Default Missing Sources

I’ve done some searching, though not fully exhaustive, but I’ve found nothing else n my latest issue.

Out for a nice sunset ride tonight, my 2011 XKR only toggles between FM and AM options...nothing else. Am I just having a senior moment? Where has USB and IPod gone? My cell connects to BT and the sound is handled properly. My IPhone connects to Bovee (conformed in phone in BT), but I can’t get the system to show the source. Any ideas or familiarity, anyone?

By "Toggles", do you mean with the SOURCE button on the steering wheel?
Have you tried accessing other inputs directly from the AUDIO TSD page?

By “toggles”, I simply mean that pressing the source button, on the dash on rotating the one on the wheel, results in moving between AM and FM audio sources only. I tried inserting a CD hoping it would auto play, but I got nothing.

Did you try to select anything else on the AUDIO TSD page? Everything should still be listed.....

As far as only AM FM stuff on SOURCE button, I don't know what to say to that.

I would turn the car off, lock it and go and have a cup of coffee.

If it is a battery issue and a module didn't boot properly then it will probably be OK next time you use the car otherwise it could be a bus or module issue.

The sources can be accessed through the Audio TSD screen, but it’s less seamless than doing it through the “sources” buttons.

Tried that a couple of times yesterday and it didn’t work. I’m hopeful the overnight rest reset whatever gremlin is causing this. If not, I’ll do more digging I guess.

Have you disconnected the Bovee adapter?

Yeah, I'd disconnect the battery and charge it with a GOOD charger for at least 24 hours, then do a hard reset just 'cuz and then hook stuff back up.

It is fixed! None of the above-mentioned techniques worked, including unplugging the Bovee adapter. Wanna know what worked? Well, I do to. Out for a ride after giving her a bath, all the sources just randomly reappeared.

Thank you all anyway!! (SHRUG)

If your XKR magically fixed itself while you were out for a drive, my bet is on a low battery that got sufficiently charged during that drive.
