Mitsubishi Owner Needs Your Help!
Hi all. My name is Mohit Sheorey. I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I don't own a Jag but a 2000 Mitsubishi Verada, to which I recently added aSprintex supercharger.
The only issue has been the increased temps under the bonnet since the charger went it. I searched high and low for a set of good looking bonnet vents but couldn't find anything until I noticed the current XKR has bonnet vents that may be perfect for what i'm after:
Since XKRs are asrare as hen's teeth in Oz, could someone pleaseprovide me with measurements of the bonnet vents (L x W)? I need to work out the placement of these vents on my bonnet as I need to take into consideration the under bonnet bracing (which can't be cut).
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this!
BTW, here's a couple of pics of my Verada:

Nice looking car mate.
The problem is, if you look at the picture of the X150 R hood vents, you will see that they are not square. WxL would not be accurate. Are you just looking for a general size overall or does it need to be specific because I havent used pythagorum in 2 years.
If you just need generic width and length, I can get it for you monday. Maybe someone else here that owns one could do it sooner.

This is what the underside of a Verada bonnet looks like. With the measurements I would be able to determine where the best placement for the vents would be and whether I would need to cut the bracing on the sides as done in the pic below. I will not be cutting the main X-brace.
BTW, do you know that underside of the XKR vent looks like? Is it flat or are there some plastic pieces/components attached to the underside of the vents (like I've seen on other factory bonnet vents)?
