Look at post #31 there is a TSB attached, download it and look at the picture within the document. That is at its worst, but it begins with a milky film.

This happened on my Acura MDX ; the Dealer claimed to have replaced it BUT it came back a few months later.............so I removed bulb and used hair dryer to dry it out
. I assume Dealer did same thing!
Stopped going to car wash which fixed the problem!

Cheers, Adrian

Jaguar knows better then to mess us around... I am on first name basis with my jag service guys and know the 2 techs as well... THEY KNOW after my XKR-S Chirp I mean business. Jag is a great company - they will do it the right way - The sooner americans learn that Jaguar is a great company they will BUY MORE JAGS!!!!! YEEEHAW!!!!!!!! However...once they realise it - it will be too late to buy a new XK!!! WE HAVE RARE CARS . I will buy nothing but Jaguar from now till day I die.... They took care of me on all issues with my Jaguars - and for that they have my money from now on. All companies make great cars off the lot - its how they take care of you when you have a problem that wins repeat customers due to brand loyalty. I would never dream of going to Japan to look at the infiniti factory even though I own 3 "nissan's"...However I plan on going to Coventry no matter what!!!

I have to agree I'm pretty happy with Jag as well. The headlight issue took some convincing but it was settled in a day. I've seen MUCH worse service from other high end bands.

Default fogging lights

had this on my xk8, solved by getting some of those wee bag type things that come in shoe boxes, they soak up moistue, take covers of lights under bonnet, put arond 5 behind light lens, pop back cover but leave open a small bit, and thats it, it works, every month take them out, pop in microwave for 1 minute to rejuvinate and back in.

They only replaced one of my lights so know my car is winking.. My usual service advsor was out and this one swore the other headlight was fine.. I walk out wipe the headlight off and have to prove its bad as well. I'm a bit fumed.. My XKR did not have a good day yesterday

That is unacceptable. Call Jaguar concierge service, voice a concern, tell them you don't expect to be "messed around" with. I would say you want only the light to be replaced as should be but that dealership should be put on notice for one thing... "MAKE CUSTOMERS HAPPY". ... This would be letting Jaguar know that TOP service is expected at all times as long as the demands a customer makes is reasonable. I think they would agree to this and though it may not directly affect the dealership obviously they need to know improvement in customer service is always warranted. Its a JTB - replace the lights!! Its not like you asked for a new car free and a weekend in Vegas.

Next time I am in to get service I plan on telling the service manager I look forward to being a pain in his A$$ for years to come ... unless of course everything is done to spec, correctly the first time .

I don't know what is wrong with the service advisors but their attitude is everyone is tryig to rip them off. Not being an *** but you see I've spent come serious time, effort and money on my car I'm not asking for a handout. I want defective part replaced. Now I have to park the car until the new headlight comes in as I don't want mismatched headlights for life. One top them reflashing my ECM, which again I have to remove and wait for it to be reflashed, I want to strangle them at the moment.

I have to be careful complaining to Jag as this dealership is run by a good friend of mine and I don't want to ding him. I'll bring it up to him and let him handle it.

Your dealer never told you they were ordering only 1 headlight when they initially recognized the problem? Ryan had 4 headlights changed. I'm keeping a close eye on my headlights.

Good luck! Hopefully the headlight replacement doesn't warrant and ECM reflash LOL

I'm scared to go back for the other headlight

Is this an issue with certain model year headlights?
