I have the escape "cache" aluminium stuff moving vibrating on the xk 08 we fixed that, we fixed the wheel noise by changing the moving "bolts", then we also place some tape foam around the dashboard to remove some cranking noise i have, he is sick with me and noises...lol...i like just hearing the tires..with full gum....

Unfortunately this thread is not going to die... because on my 3rd voyage, and less than a week since I got the car returned, the "chirp"...is...back in all the same conditions as it was before. I think if it is the brakes, and I do not know why it would have gone away otherwise? They need to replace them? UGH!!

I do not think its electrical, good they could get rid of the noise for one week at least so they know where to work on hopefully. I hope the best for Ryan.

Thinking out of the square.
All your symptoms could relate to a transfer of weight i.e hard acceleration, braking and planting yourself heavily in the seat, even while the car is stationary and not running.
Could it be a rubber bush that is "chirping" against the metal housing in the suspension some where as the suspension changes position?.

The dealership do not seems to be dealing for a long time with Jaguar. If it still can be reproduced when you want more or less, the next dealership jag is far away? it won't void anything just to ask there?

Pierre I have thought about this! We will see how they handle it...next jag dealer is far away. This dealership has done well though i suppose with The problem being so hard to diagnose . I just want the brakes replaced and to test drive it with a tech afterward for a few days to make sure it goes away and stays away. If it is there after that we know it may be time to look somewhere else?!? I think that makes sense?
Ask yourself this question... if my XKRS needs super greasing of the rear brakes and other XKRS's do not... What is wrong with my brakes? if replacing the brakes and its components does not work... What else is it? Due to the nature of it - how rare and hard to determine what exactly is going on...localization is key! 2 birds with one stone if the brakes are replaced and do not chirp again... Or we go check something else if it does. Check my logic... Agree? Disagree?

click on edit and then on "Go advanced" you should see the title, it takes a while before its 's updated.
It seems like dealership depending of their anteriority, could deal with jag warranty better, instead of calling a rep. they will change part etc..this dealership seems shy and worry to do anything and yes in this case calling jag was good, but if it is to put more delay, sorry its not great, i bet you and sorry about it, but this will not happened at jaguar Haron, this is it. or they will keep the car and send it back to jag or update any related parts right away, but they will not make you wait and lubricate it each time for sure. It goes back to what the jag tec was saying here, some will wait before to call jag, but in this case yes it was good, despite they are simply lengthy and worthless. It's now approx. 43 days and no parts were changed.
Wit the experience i had before with jags, i will not have trusted byersimport, i don't like seeing porsche and audi there sorry and i will have bought the car with a land rover jaguar conventional dealership, it is almost if jaguar sold them a bad car. And who cares how polite they are or how nice is the rep. if it is to be lengthy, it will have been much more inteligent and less triggering, to actually talk to this jag rep, or get his direct phone line!!! if he was there, sorry to say so again, i have doubts myself. Also would not you think that if he inspect the car he will give directive if the resolution did not work, or he was that sure of him...lol..really ridiculous.
When you have lot of years of customer services (with audi?) as they said the minimum is to write down a date, year. It's just sounds a way too phony. What a lack of customer service indeed. Like if polite phone calls and lubricating could ever compensate.

You have me thinking Pierre... Indeed you have me thinking!!! The parts need replaced at this point, taken off and studied - if they have a better and more complete way to do this.... Then they need to do it! Covering a problem up with Grease helps nobody - and let's get serious here... In the long run a set of rear brakes vs making a customer happy who dropped 6 figures Plus on a new car. Not rocket science. Logic would dictate that said happy customer may purchase again if happy... Mike@Jaguar is aware and is comforting, but this gentleman can only do so much.
As I have said... Replacing the brake components in their entirety and problem still exists is diagnostic. It's logical!
I have been told earlier in this thread that the only way this car problem will get resolved is if parts are replaced and tested.... Systematically!
