Ryan, I hope I don't disturb with the LR videos...I am having a lot of fun with this range rover, I am getting a remap from Bellautos, and i found a new genuine leather interior perforated with the lanes, exactly what I wanted for cheap.... hope you enjoy the jag.

Sold my 2011 XKR 175. I'm now looking for a replacement. Was considering the F-type pending the outcome of this thread. I'm glad things worked out. Consequently, a Jaguar replacement is preferred in remains a brand on my short list. Took the F-type for a test drive and find it too small; with no luggage room I would struggle with it daily. Will like to pickup a good 2012 XKR-S or 2013 XKR-S or wait for the 2015. Not sure what the 2015 XKR will look like or even if their will be one.
Ryan, do you find any performance and driving differences in the XKR-S compared to the model I sold. I find front of the 2011 dated and old looking compared to the 2012 and up models. The splitter of the XKR-S makes the grille more modern and the lights are crisper. The 2011 XKR 175, although a limited edition is not comparable to the European XKR 75. The European XKR 75 has a lot of performance enhancements where the XKR 175 is only cosmetic with the aero kit. The XKR-S has it all.

Hey Brother! As of yet I have not taken the Jaguar R Academy. I do not know what a XKR feels like. I drove a XK for my test drive and honestly can not remember - XK vs XKR-S both are very smooth, very comfortable driving cars.
The fellow who started the Michelin tire threat owned a 2010 XKR and a 2012 XKR-S. He would be best to ask regarding the feel of the XKR-S compared to the XKR.
How much did you get for your XKR175? How many miles were on it??

I red this on the other forum for those interested
"I've heard, that you need to have the shifter in 5th with sport mode on, and the limiter is bypassed.
I hit the limiter in my XJR at an indicated 160mph, but that was with the shifter in D and Sport off.
Tried again some time later in 5th & Sport, saw 170mph on the speedo but had to back off for traffic.
The XFR guys have said similar things about selecting 5th & Sport mode to go beyond 155...
BTW i was in Germany at the time, don't try this at home folks!"

this is a copy and paste of the other forum for those passionated skills...so the speed limit is 175 mph and this is for the 4.2 liter?
"I went to Switzerland the other day and living in Germany I was able to give the car a good stretch on unlimited Autobahn. I was in outside lane and a BMW M3 flashed to overtake at an indicated 150mph I gave it some more beans and the car went up to an indicated 175mph..... bloody M3 still overtook me and seemed to be doing well over 190mph and it looked stock!!!! Checking my Roadhawk camera later on which has an inbuilt GPS Recorder told me my car was doing 281 kmh at the time around 174mph. The car felt very planted by the way and whilst it was fast it felt ok. My car is stock 4.2 xkr and i have never had it modded ..."

"I had it in Sport(DS) and using the paddles the rev limiter was at 6000rpm in 6th at 175 mph"

Just hoping everyone that participated in this thread is doing well, especially my brother Pierre!! The XKR-S is doing great and has not had any chirp once they isolated and insulated the e-brake cable from rubbing up against the body causing "the chirp". I have fallen so in love with the XKR-S that I wanted to drive it every day and could not get myself to do so for fear of other peoples mistakes intentional or not or it getting into an accident by my own fault etc... So i save it for weekends and short drives and bought a Blacked out 2012 XKR with 10k miles on it as my everyday-daily driver. It did come with some dings in the paint and need for a few minor repairs due to previous own neglect so its currently in the body shop and then the auto detailer. Hopefully sometime soon I will have a picture up of them both.
Thanks to Mike@Jaguar as well for his concern and getting the ball rolling with JLRNA!!
