Can't wait to see the finals. Be sure to take some pictures with the flash, so we can see the difference.

Hey jfb,

I emailed Viezu about buying a set of the 200 cell cats a couple of days ago with no reply. Are they interested in selling?

Did Jason not get back to you?

That's odd.

He said that he'd seen your email. I was speaking to him as they're shipping my OEM 'zorst back to me and I was sorting that out.

He also made an interesting comment which was that it might be cheaper for you to buy the full system than just the cats and the rear pipes!

I didn't dig in to it, but I do know that they sell the cats alone for around £1000 and the whole system cost me £1,600 fitted, so it could be the case.

Perhaps drop him another email directly - Jason.Aston@viezu.com

I put electric exhaust cut outs on my XJR. Best mod I have ever done to any car! Quiet to loud and everything in between

Interesting.

I'm still toying with the idea. If I do it I think I work with someone like Spires. The plan would be to modify their backbox and put cutouts in place of the usual valves, so that closed the exhaust just flows through the rear muffler and two centre rear pipes, and open they bypass to include the two outer rear pipes.

However, the more I think about it, the less I can think of when I'd want to turn the sound off - it's addictive!

I like it when its quiet and I like it when its loud, and everything in between.

I'll send him another email. I'd prefer down pipes and go catless. Down pipes should be more reasonable but they aren't available, or are they? The Nissan GT-R has downpipes in every color and shape available on the after market. I'm sure the 5l SC could be moded into a real beast of a machine if the mods were made available for the engine like the GT-R.

Thanks Lothar (good use of 'mate' in there buddy)! ;O)

I have a very similar (I assume) product being applied now that the paint is done.

I'm using Williams F1 Ceramic Coat. It's the same kind of deal as GTechniq's coating products etc - a nano technology coating - this stuff is guaranteed for 5 years apparently!

Was supposed to be developed for the Williams F1 team, but I expect that's marketing bollocks.

Blurb attached.

So I picked the car up today.

Work was carried out by Lee @ Extreme Detailing in Tring - he's a top man.

I've discovered that it's almost impossible to get photos that truly show the finish he's achieved (it looks much better in the metal) but you'll get the overall idea.

Mmmmmm. Shiny!

I used 3 levels of polishing compound on my black XKR to correct the acid rain marks and paint imperfections, followed by Klasse sealant, Klasse A n 1, and 3 coats of carnauba wax. Very happy with the result. No swirl marks yet.

Oh, still no reply from the guys at Viezu? I'm giving up on them--I'll keep my money.

I sent Jason message asking why he's not got
back to you - not like them at all - their service is normally
top notch. They have just bought the Paramount business (not making excuses for them) so I wonder if they're just a bit swamped?

Glenn - Jason emailed me to say he's sent you two emails about the exhaust - so there must be an issue with his email. He said if you give me a phone number he'll call you.

If you want to PM me your number he'll get in touch.
