Although it's a Land Rover, it shows what the technician went through to pinpoint why "Key Not Found" and it wouldn't start.

Fascinating. Shows that the cause of the problem can be nothing at at like you'd think it could be. Good sleuthing on the part of the tech.

For over a month, I could not get my keyfob to lock the doors on my F-Type. I could eventually start the car, but only if I held the fob next to the dash. Changed the battery, no improvement. Finally, I took it in to the dealer. The Service techs took about 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. They popped the hood and slammed it shut. Problem solved. Apparently, if the hood is not in a fully locked state, the key fob functionality is impaired. Go figure.

HA! This happened to me also, weird key operation. I took mine to a LR dealer cuz, why not? It was 50 miles closer than a Jag dealer.
Dude opened and closed the boot.
Problem solved!
They changed the remote battery and even washed my car.
Total price???
ZERO!
I LOVE that dealership. I've never owned a Land Rover.
