@AlexJag Speaking of all this, I just saw that the CARB finally passed the "NON-OEM TUNES FAIL SMOG" legislation. What are you going to do about that?
You might be referring to just California that put that law in effect. Don't see any issues. I would like to see them try and find out that car was tuned though...

That is exactly what I said, California Air Research Board. CARB.
Yeah, I don't know the way they would discover such a thing.
They would connect to your OBD port and pull ICU codes that flag non-OEM tune was installed. F-type has that, I imagine so does C8 vette. Not sure about early XKs, but later ones that share F-type guts almost certainly do have this.
Well guys just a little update. I picked up my C8 on 12/04/20 with 3 miles on it. Took it in for my yearly NYS inspection and I have 15,300 miles on it. As I've said in past posts it's not a smooth as my XKR was but it is still pretty comfortable to drive. I've taken 2 major trips which were both around 1500 miles and had no problems driving at 4 to 10 hour clips. Pretty much a pleasure to drive and still a unicorn in most areas I have visited . As for maintenance I've had the GM 7500 service (at 6,000 miles ) and a 2nd oil change on my dime ($140) with the dealer. One recall on the front lift oil fill cap and 2 software updates. I use the car daily and just put on my winter all season tires. MPG on major trips was 31 mpg at 80 mph. Only hit triple digit numbers once and it felt like 50 mph. So all in all car has and is still fun . Played my last round of golf yesterday and at 41* all of the courses in my area are closing. I'll be heading south for some golf weeks sometime in 1st qtr. next year. So enjoy the holidays and get out there and drive. Life is to short to save the car for the next owner.
I'm number 27 on a wait list at the top Chevrolet corvette dealer in Canada for the Z06 (5.5L NA FPC) . It red lines at 8,600rpm and sounds like a 458 Ferrari. Almost bought a 650S McLaren, but there are no service dealers close by.
