New Custom Pedals on Order

Ultimate Pedals Group Buy
I emailed Robert at Ultimate Pedals and asked about a discount for forum members. His reply was:
"We would be happy to offer a 15% discount for a group buy of 10 or more pedal sets if you think there is enough interest."
Each group buy order would need to include a gas, brake or brake/clutch, and footrest (engraving and/or emblem pocketing not subject to discount).
So, anyone interested?

That Interiors section is open to all models, not just X150 (XK/XKR) models. So there's more exposure for a group buy.
Note that there are 2 designs - holes (DGL's car) or slots (my car). My car came with slotted pedals (gas/brake), so all I needed was the dead pedal. Holes are standard, but Robert was able to make the dead pedal with slots to match my existing pedals. I fits perfectly and looks great.
Good luck with the group buy!

Here's how it looks now, after I filled in the slots. I used black rubber (not foam) weatherstripping with a self-adhesive backing from Home Depot. The width was a perfect fit and I used scissors to trim the length to fit. Easy to remove it I decide to go without the inserts.
Stuart
How are your rubber inserts on your dead pedal holding up?
I'm thinking of getting the factory pedal covers such as you have and ordering the same dead pedal. Don't really want the gas/brake Ultimate Pedal pedals as I drive w/out shoes and prefer pedals with a little more rubber...not sure I need the gas/brake, but I like the matching look.
Thanks.

So far, so good, but I've driven it only 5 or 6 times since I installed the dead pedal. The rubber inserts are unchanged from day 1.
One thing I've noticed is how much bigger that area feels with the dead pedal compared to when it was just carpet. I know the space is the same but I think the increased firmness and more solid feeling under foot gives the illusion of a larger footrest area. Also, I can't tell that there are rubber inserts because the dead pedal feels perfectly flat under my foot. The inserts are hollow and compress from the weight of my foot. Since the sides can't be seen, you can't tell that it is a piece of hollow semi-circular rubber tubing.
If an insert were to come loose or get damaged it would be a simple matter to replace it without having to remove the dead pedal. Just pull the old piece out, cut a new piece to the correct length and stick it back on. It is self-adhesive backed, semi-circular black door weatherstripping from Home Depot.
I used this Frost King Weatherseal, $5.67: http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/2028445...1v&R=202844545
Note that you separate the roll from the center into 2 pieces, one of which is slightly wider than the other. I used the wider piece, cut it to length with a scissor for each slot, peeled off the backing, and stuck it onto each pedal slot.

Since it was a one-off, custom engraved slotted pedal it was expensive.
When I received it, it exceeded my expectations. I enjoy seeing it every time I get in my car. It makes driving more comfortable and I've have had many compliments. These factors help me rationalize the $130 cost. A special accessory fit for a special car!

Ended up going a little more stealth. Got the dead pedal from Ultimate, then had a local shop powdercoat it in flat black.
The original finish from Ultimate wasn't quite the same as the OEM stainless pedals I have but haven't yet installed, so I thought blending in with the carpet would be better. The camera flash actually accentuates the slight difference, you can't really a color difference in person. Its also nice and grippy.
So far so good.
Thanks again, Stuart for the inspiration and information.

The footrest area of the floor is molded up from the metal floor with lots of free space between the footrest carpet surface to the metal floor--6 to 8 inches or so. No need to drill a hole into compressed formed cardboard. Simply line up your foot rest plate and screw it in; nothing to damage in the space under the formed raised area, just air.

Nice! They look good.
I purchased a second set from Ultimate Pedals, after selling by 175. I could not be more disappointed with them. First he sent me someone else's order and blamed me for it--he when on to say I ordered them. Then after realizing what he did he would not pay for the return shipping. I had to call my credit card company place a charge back on this merchant account. After much grief and having the credit card company involved he decided to ship me the correct pedals. I simply ordered the same as I had on my 175--no change. First I received the wrong finish and he set an "R" emblem in the pedal. Say away from Robert at Ultimate Pedals. He is also very expensive and obnoxious. He was very nice until he realized he messed up and would not go good for it. Shame on him.
You pedals look great. You probably paid much less than I did and received better service from your supplier. Where did you get them ad at what cost? Others may want to follow you.

Thanks, was nervous drilling holes in my pedals but pleased with the results. Stuart put some on his car a while back and got me thinking and I took the advice from Richard and used industrial Velcro on the bottom of the dead pedal before mounting with the self taping screws provided. To answer your question I bought my pedal kit from Mina auto parts. Cost was 159.95 plus tax. Now if I could just find a set of the 20" Vortex that are on the 2015 Final 50 and could afford them I would be set. These are awesome cars I was sad to see Jaguar end production.

The other members who did the "group buy" we put together with Ultimate were very happy too.
Anyone can have a bad day.
My set pic is below.

You resurrected a thread that's over 5 years old, and many of those vendors are no longer in business. You can try to contact the vendors in this thread, and may be able to find generic pedal covers that will fit that are for sale on Ebay or from China. Ask the Forum sponsors that sell Jaguar parts and Google "pedal covers for Jaguar".
