New Guy
Hello, Jag forum. I've been in love with the Jag XK's since the 90's even though I didn't fit in the older ones. This weekend we picked up a 2010 XKR and put 600 miles on it in a couple days!
Taking the exhaust valve fuse out did wonders but I still think I want a little more. This forum has been great for learning and I'll be making the car "ours" as we personalize it a little. So far on the list are exhaust, intake, 2 piece brake rotors, spacers and maybe springs & wheels. Practical goodies are a windscreen and clear bra ASAP.
Any other quirks that I should go ahead an address now?

Not to rain on your parade, but I would consider tempering the enthusiasm to mod for a little and get to know the XKR better. I have found the more I drive it, the more I come to realize they got it "right" by and large. Jag's have a unique drive feel to them and once you get use to it; turning it into a different car is not as important.
Not saying not to tune it the way you want, but take your time and get to know your beautiful new ride first. You said you didn't fit into the older ones, well this car has a lot of that legacy in her. You're now elevated to Jag, not Jag to you. Enjoy!

One thing I have noticed though is that this car does "learn" your driving style with the throttle and automatic transmission a lot more than previous cars with similar claims.

This is true. All modifications are going to be very subtle and unlike anything fast and furious related. I know I want something just a little more special out of the sound though - even after taking out fuse 19.
