New Jag Owner!!
I could give a wholeeeee backstory, but long story made short: I'm 21 and just bought a 2009 XKR (72k miles for only $20k!!) on May 5th! Before buying, I remember scouring these forums for hours (even till 1 or 2 in the morning!) just reading common problems, where to source parts, best parts to get (exhaust, body, odds-and-ends, etc.), but also seeing the great community! I enjoy seeing the wealth of knowledge provided by Jahummer, and I envy Tberg's body mods! (also idk if it's just me, but Ceejay always seems so pessimistic in any thread I see him in :/ ). Anyways, I've already changed the oil, added the leaper logo and replaced the 'R' badge on the trunk, replaced the deteriorated door buttons (to lock), and today just replaced the intake/throttle body coupling after noticing it last week while cleaning the engine bay. I've got plenty of plans in the pipeline for this thing and already have front upper control arms on the way to replace (shot ball joints ) I'll post some pics below and please feel free to ask me any questions or give any tips!!
Two rings at the bottom were originally the ONE coupling piece
Small little red car was what I've been driving since I was 17. Still love it :]
I also forgot to mention that I ordered a custom plate saying "IAMPOOR" xD (being delivered)

Welcome MJ, certainly a classic car, seems you are good with a wrench which is essential for an older classic.
Well, seems a bit odd to start off with a first post calling people out. Many personalities on this board like in life, with that comes strong opinions but backed with much knowledge. And CJ is one of those with much value to add. Personally if I mis-stepped like that I would offer up an apology, I have done that in the past when my wit got the better of me and what I thought was checky humor was more along the lines of offensive.

Nice ride! You will definitely be happy you got an R. So when are ya doin' the pulley upgrade? Lol
Yeah you may see a bit of pessimism and grumpiness from some of the older ones on here, which by the way, don't rile them up, we prefer them napping quietly in the corner or shut away, quietly improving the cars we love so we may all enjoy the fruits of their labor lol But it is only so because they have probably tried it, broke it, fixed it, spent the hours troubleshooting, and fixed it again. As you have already seen there is a wealth of information and tips on this forum, enough that I rarely have to start new threads, just the search function usually results in an answer or at least points me in the right direction.
Welcome aboard and can't wait to see what you have planned for your Cat.

Nice score. Fun car. Stick around kid.
Now clean those wheels and remove the dealer sticker on the boot lid
Also, on the rear valance, it looks like the black is a little faded from the sun. If that's the case, there are a lot of products out there to bring the black back and I've tried many. The last product I used was Cerakote Trim coat. Best and longest lasted I've used so far. I put it on 2 cars last year and it hasn't faded a bit yet. I put it on the plastic under the wipers as well. Anyways, thought I'd add that.
