Default The new James Bond Aston DB10

Beautiful looking car, however, can anyone else see the similarities to the F-Type?

Can't do that as it would break tradition. I would like to see a front and rear view . It does resemble the lines of the F-Type.

I don't like it. I don't care for the front fascia, the big front overhang with virtually no rear overhang (and try and get over some dips and driveways with that extended low front end without damaging it), I don't like the extremely short windows, and I don't think it's as good looking as the current Vantage. And finally, were I to be in the market for a 2 door premium GT car in the Aston price range, I'd wait for the new Maserati due out for 2016. (see below)

Funny thing about personal appeal. All the things you mentioned, I like about the car.

It doesn't matter much at this point in time as many Fords already share similar front grills to the Astons.

A little bit better view......click the photo for a larger view. Yes, it does have some resembleance to the Jaguar F-Type.

The new Maserati above, this Aston, the F-Type, and to a lesser degree the Merc GT AMG are very similar looks. The F-Type with all of its variants may address customer needs more, is the first out of the gate, and is better priced. I thing they all look great. Would make a great review article to have all of these cars compete against one another. I'd put my money on the F-Type. Jaguar is doing a great job of building out the F-Type platform.

If Maserati would lose the Buick port holes in the front fenders, I'd consider one. Not until then though.

Wheels are too big for my taste, but of course the whole package looks cool as does every Aston.

That shot makes it look a lot wider in the rear track than the front, though it's probably just an effect of the lighting.

Richzak,
I find it hard to believe that the photo that you have included is of the same car as in the original photo. There is virtually no overhang in the front in your photo as opposed to a huge overhang in the original. The rear seems different as well. The Maserati, on the other hand, has a large overhang behind the rear wheels much like an XKR coupe, and very little in the front. I much prefer the look of the Maserati, and I believe if they go head to head price wise and feature wise, the Maserati will hurt Aston sales.

I don't think so. Aston has much better fit, finish, and quality of materials than the Maserati. I suspect the performance will be better as well. I don't think they will be head-to-head price wise with Aston being more expensive.

GranTurismo is not at the same level as Vantage in quality IMO. Ferrari and Aston is different and I put them on par.

Jebus, that's a beautiful car, especially the back end view.

I'd give my eye teeth for that.

The worst part about the port holes there is no symmetry. They are not level and slant down which is really annoying.

IMO i think aston has taken the shine of the f-type with this car, i never had a great liking to astons except the dbs, but to me this car looks stunning. It has similar lines to the f-type but seems more sleek,,and i suppose a convertible will be next.
Good video on you tube of the new car.
