I went from a 2007 Benz (E550) to my 2012 XKR and haven't looked back. The E550 was the ultimate sleeper car with a surprising amount of V8 power, but the XKR took that to a whole new level. The CL55 is obviously well above the E550, but I suspect you will experience a similar feeling of having stepped up every time you walk up to the XK. (On looks alone. lol)
Enjoy the ride!
Someone say E55O !!
Thats my current family car
Yes it is a total sleeper with ample amounts of torque throughout the entire rev band
Certainly, the non supercharged vents were put in along with Adamesh top and bottom steel grills.
I wanted the look without keeping the supercharger embossing.
Loving the bonnet vents !!

Should I sell my car to get the hood vents??? If Asked this question when I was a youngster I would be trading in my car. Looks great. I still love my XK Coupe.
Thankyou for your comments.
I love the car, i wanted the vents and yet the simplicity and economy of the 4.2.
The vents and the front pair of grills are the only mods i will be doing. However i keep looking at exhaust systems
Regarding the two grills, despite the fitting instructions saying the front bumper removal was neccessary. The front bumper removal was not necessary, the old grill came out undamaged from the front and the new pair placed in from the front.
Car looks sensational with the new upper and lower grilles the xk60 special edition had these come out with the mesh however they also added a lower lip
In terms of the xk having the better fuel economy forget that due to the fact of the larger revs to get it going unlike the xkr which has power everyehere
You know i will call in this week mate, i would like to hear the system in the flesh.
This will be the second sweetest sounding system i will own ( click my links for the sweetest bellow)
I test drove a v12 TT cl600 back when I was considering getting into Mercedes, the ABC suspension and ignition coil issues were the reason I passed on it
The ABc is cool when its working but the thought of it failing anytime would suck all the enjoyment factor away for me
Mate i have had many supercars, sports cars and super bikes that i personaly own.
On top of that, because of the work i do in the Close protection industry, i also drive many top draw cars that are of course classed as work cars.
