New owner and rear seat removal help
What tyres do you recommend? ONLY JOKING...
Hi folks. Pictured below is my XKR-S coming off the delivery trailer yesterday here in the UK. I hadn't seen her in the flesh when I bought her, and it was a real occasion to get her delivered and see the car for the first time. Over the moon with it, and the sound is awesome. Already had courier drivers/ walkers by stop me and ask about it.
I'd like to take the rear seat out and familiarize myself with the fuses and what's behind. Base clipped out no problem. Unfortunately the torque screw holding the back is just spinning in its position and can't be pulled out. Any ideas how to rectify? Can the threads be cross threaded if it's simply spinning but not loosening? Is their a screw behind which is spinning with the screw? Not a major issue but would appreciate any experience....and of course I need to try pulling the famous fuse 19! Thanks in advance.

It should come out straight away, something must be stripped. If a good tug won’t do, you’ll likely need to cut the head off the screw and see what is amiss. However there isn’t much serviceable behind the seat back as everything you need is in the junction box behind the center cover which slides up and then out from the top first.

Mine was a complete biatch to remove the centre panel of the rear as i don't think it had been removed before.
There are no screws only clips, so the tug is upwards and outwards in sort of a single jerk, it's not aided by the fact that getting in there's not an easy feat...even for a short@rse like me.
To access the fuses you don't need to remove the rear seat base (only IIRC for in-tank fuel pump) nor the outer actual rear seat backs to access them.
Once you've done it once it'll be a doddle in the future though
Lovely looking car and pics of your interior and offending panel would be nice?
