Very Nice.....welcome to the Porsche community. Be sure to check out Planet9 forums for Porsche owners.

What made you go to the Porsche rather than the McLaren?

Default Wowzer!

I'm a 66 year old retired banker ... and I still feel the urge to give you a speeding ticket ... just based on its looks! Awesome!

LOL thanks guys. I still haven't seen or driven it yet. That's not my driveway. I'm out of country and it arrived at the house last week. I get home Thurs. Should be a fun day!

I picked this because the Gallardo has just been replaced and I suspect they will fall a bit more before settling. So I either wait or get an Huracan which may be the move to flank 997 in a year or two. The 12C while über competent wasn't as fun to drive as the Gallardo.
The 997TT is just about fully depreciated and this one has about $100k invested on top of car. I figured it's both smart, fun, stupid fast and given it's one-off style dare I say exotic to boot.

I just noticed the rest of my original post didn't post. It has 900hp, loads of cf, coil overs big brakes, HRE and on. I still have the XKR but will prob trade for an S8/A8 or something luxurious to compliment it and Jeep.

Congratulations! It'll certainly turn heads, especially with those flashy wheels. Very nice!

Great looking car and spectacular wheels, and I don't even like Porsches. I drove a GT3 this weekend, quite an experience. Not as quick on the low end as the XKR, but around 6000 rpms it goes nuts, exhaust opens up and starts screaming, actually quite startling. It's a different car at high rpms.

I am sure you'll love this car. Use it in good health.

Very Nice! I'm envious, but glad you have it. I would probably kill myself in it as I haven't driven anything with much over 500HP.

Yep!, That's one impressive looking ride from my perch.
No doubt, you'll get a few tickets, before the shines wears off. LOL!

What are the specs of your new beast? I don't know much about Porsche. With 900hp it must have some serious work done on it. Is it AWD with PDK? What year is it? I find most Porsche's look very similar and haven't changed much over the years. However, the flashy wheels on your ride will make it stand out and when you feed it some gas it must be crazy quick.

I love those RED WHEELS. I'm going to have to rethink my black ones. They just wake up the whole body. HAVE FUN!

It is an 07 6spd with 23k. Pre 09's are preferred for high hp as due to the design of the Metzger motor. It is the vivid racing 900 full kit. Here is promotional video of my actual car with different HRE's. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PIxIhLCjUAk
