New XK Owner Questions

Hi gang, appreciate forums for times like this!
I am an auto enthusiast and have finally decided to look into the world of Jaguar cars.
I am starting off with a 2007 XK Coupe (gold) that I am in the process of purchasing. The car looks immaculate, 1 owner and dealership maintained.
I will likely wind up with a newer model XKR within a few years, depending on my experience with the XK. That seems to be my way, an example is that I first purchased a Mitsubishi 3000GT many years ago, loved the car, so I stepped up to the twin turbo VR4 and loved that, finally ended up with their ultimate, the VR4 Spyder (retractable hardtop) of which only 877 were ever made. (hanging onto that one!)
I can see myself doing the same thing with Jaguar, but I am starting slow and affordable... this one will be my daily driver, just sold my Benz CLK430.
Enough rambling, on to my questions, I think I have asked every question imaginable of the prior owner, but none specific to the XK, it doesn't seem there are many "common" problems to this model that I need to be concerned about, true?

One thing you would probably want to do is get a battery maintainer of some sort. A popular one on this forum is the CTEK.
If you don't drive your new XK at least every few days, the battery tends to lower in voltage just enough to start messing with all the sensitive electronics.
Have a great time with your new XK, you are sure to love it!

1. Battery. All vehicle electronics are uber sensitive to voltage. Recommend an AGM.
2. AC drain tube. Well documented stupid duckbill design. If you have water in your pax footwell its clogged. Fix it before you burn up/flood you fan motor and relay.
Other than those two things it's as reliable as a hammer.

Make sure the passenger footwell isn't damp - in the 4.2 cars, the aircon evaporator drain can block, causing water to build up in the fan box in the footwell and dribble on your passenger's feet. It can also fry the blower motor. There are several threads on here on how to keep the drain clear (basically, close all the vents and put the fan on full blast) and ways to fix it if it blocks.

AC Condenser drain is a real problem and unless you have a receipt from dealer that they did the 1K service, your car will need it done...
Transmission pan/fluid/filter service should be done (I think by 50K) unless the pan is already leaking which is common on the XK.
You can put in a cross pipe instead of the resonator if you want a touch more umph from the exhaust. I tried putting Magnaflows instead of OEM mufflers and made the car a dog; don't do it...
