Not finding good info on replacing pads 2011 XK

Hard to believe I can't find a write-up on front brake replacement. Normally would not need. But having an issue with hardware. The pads I purchased do not have the same plate with attached clips, as seen in this kit.https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...l#immersedview. It's the third set. I'm thinking of just reusing the ones I took off because I have the XK on jack stands and the wheels off ready to go and don't want to wait.

You say you have an XKR but the hardware you link to is for the cooking XK with the 355 mm front brakes as opposed to the 380 mm front brakes on a 2011 XKR.
It looks similar but the anti-rattle clip is a slightly different size and shape and they are not interchangeable.
Here is the correct listing for the hardware: https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...dware_kit.html
Anyway I agree with the previous views, just re-use the old clips, they are designed to be re-used.
Edit - forgot to add, those anti-rattle clips can be a real bear to refit unless you have 3 hands and/or a helper with strong hands.
After years of struggling to refit them to my XFR and then F-Type I came across the best/easiest way to do it if you are on your lonesome - use a pair of zip ties.
Position the clip roughly in place and push the two "feet" into position (takes a bit of effort), the centre plate will now be sitting about a centimetre too low and you need to lever it "up and in" as the final step. Trouble is as soon as you attempt to lever up it one or both feet pop out and you are back to square one. The solution is to tie each foot down with a zip tie so it can't spring/pop out then lever the centre of the plate into place (with a nice big flat blade screwdriver). Then when securely in place (you will know when it is but it may need a few love taps on the centre plate to seat it all the way back against the face of the caliper) simply cut the zip ties off.

My first Jag was a 2001 XKR coupe over 10 years ago. Since then I've owned multiple XKR's and XJR's. This is the first non-SC. I'm very impressed with the 5.0's power. I just sold a 2011 XKR and I though the reduced power would be a drawback. But where the XKR's power was almost overwhelming and I had to be careful with when to unleash it, the XK's power is more user friendly but definitely not tame!
Thanks for the tips on replacing that plate. I ended up "springing" the extra $12 for the hardware kit.

There is no such thing as a non-SC 2011 XKR so I still can't tell if you are replacing the front brake pads on an XK (355 mm front brakes) or an XKR (380 mm front brakes).
I THINK you are saying that you used to have a 2011 XKR but you sold it recently and you now have a 2011 XK (non-SC) and THAT is the car you are replacing the front brake pads on.
If so you want the hardware/anti-rattle clip you first linked to (355 mm front brakes) and not the kit I linked to.
Also refitting the front brake anti-rattle clips on the 355 mm brakes is waaay easier than on the 380 mm brakes and no need for the zip tie trick.
