Default Now get out there

OK for us northerner's it's time to uncover and get out there and drive. Yesterday was the end of the snow here as it all finally melted. It has rained the last few days and the roads are washed of salt/dust. So lets back it out and enjoy the drive.
Here is the parting shot of snow on my property as of yesterday. As of today it is gone. Go for it even if it is just to go get a cup of coffee.

According to my friends, I've been 'out there' for years

Enjoy being back on the road!

Should be out this week. Still lots of snow banks around, but the temperature is in the double digits Celsius and the rain has removed the salt residue. Damn, it's been a long winter. Time to enjoy these beautiful cars...

Back in the late 80's during one of my business trips to London I was taken to this nightclub called the London Hippodrome . It was fun but then again there were a lot of strange woman (not that there is anything wrong with that) there. Had fun , got drunk and don't remember the rest.

Took the wife and kids out for a top down drive today. Started right up thanks to the CTEK. We have missed taking the kitty out for a purr for well over 5 months so we all had perma-grins on as more than a few people stared at us in puzzled amazement. Not exactly summer weather yet! Lol.

I see your Hippodrome and raise you a Slimelight (old goths don't die, they just get faster cars)

Still snow on the ground here in NH. However, it is suppose to be a good week in the 60's. The cover comes off the car today. The insurance goes back on the car tomorrow, so it gets to come out of hibernation and on the road for a ride. Top down may have to wait a little longer though.

Well, we're starting to enjoy some descent "drop-top" weather too. However, before I can get any of my 2/4 wheel toys out, I promised my GF, I would add a set cabinet doors to an area below the bed in her RV. This friggin RV is blocking my driveway......

Uncovered the car, disconnected the charger (started right up) and backed it out of the garage to air out. It was glad to get some fresh air after being cooped up since last October. In spite of the snow along the side of the driveway, we can't wait to take it for a ride tomorrow.

Some of us here in Canada don't know what you people are talking about...no snow, no salt on the roads...earthquake risk, yes. Photos taken a week ago.

Dropped the top (69F today) and went for a drive, first good one since getting the car.
I now know my XK is no XKR (big difference when when hitting the gas when you're already doing 80), but I still love it!

Picking up my Coupe in the UK this weekend and driving it down to the sunny South of Spain. Looking forward to an epic road trip.

OK I just loaded up and will be out in a few minutes. Thought I would load this up before I left as I'll be strolling laughing and swearing on my 1st day out . Heading for a course called "The Links" and will be tilting a few Guinness' after the round. Remember it's not the score that counts but the laughter after the shot. Enjoy your day.

Ah, another ex-Capri owner. Mine was a 3.0 V6 - yours?

Enjoy the trip - the XKR is a great mile-eater.

3.0 V6 - Of course! The only one to have!

Really looking forward to collecting the XKR and hitting the empty sunny Spanish roads :-)
