O7 , want to unhook antenna cable from

Default O7 , want to unhook antenna cable from

The power antenna and couple it to an remote cable run in trunk, do i have to remove convertible top pump or can I reach it? Not the end of the world if I do just curious

Well managed to disconnect it but its got a square connector, an of course i just have tge typical round connector,,why couldn't this be ez

Reverend Sam in the X100 forum did this to his convertible, but of course it's quite a bit different. He has a video of him doing so.

Just an update in case someone wants to do this I was able to disconnect antenna cable from antenna without moving convertible top pump. The cable from the antenna to actual antenna cable are joined but what looks like to be a motorola sq type connector.I then got a female adaptor and it converted it to a standard round antenna connector. From here I connected a flexible wire antenna which I will run in my trunk drip edge . Hopefully better reception , but I won't know till weekend at least when at which point I will get my car out of my garage. Anyways just a follow up.

AM is still terrible, FM ok
