OEM+ Upgrades

OEM+ Upgrades
Before I got into Jaguars I had a SEAT Leon Cupra R - basically a mk4 Golf GTI chassis with the later 225bhp 1.8 turbo engine found in the first gen Audi TT and S3. There's a big scene around modifying stuff from the VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda family and a lot of that is known as OEM+ upgrades, basically taking parts fitted to other cars in the family to upgrade those fitted to your own. Plenty of people fitted the larger turbos from the Audi models I mention to cars with smaller ones, things like brakes, suspension parts, sway bars etc. could often be retrofitted to cars which were sold with lesser parts.
I remember (but now can't find) a thread recently about fitting some/all of the F-type rear axle (and maybe differential) to the later X150 cars. I've also often wondered if things like the sway bars on the XKR-S and R-S GT were maybe stiffer and could be of benefit on a regular XK or XKR. I have also wondered if the big Brembo brakes found on some Range Rover models could be fitted to an X150...
Anyway, I had a look here to see if there was a thread already discussing these sorts of OEM+ upgrades and couldn't find one so thought I'd start. If anyone's found any parts from other JLR models that can be fitted to an X150 as an upgrade then let's hear about it.

You were the last to post on that thread...if you want to firm up the suspension and reduce roll, you could fit coilovers and or replace all suspension bushes with polyurethane. There are indeed a handful of interchangeable parts, but nothing terribly exciting aside from some electronics, the parts mentioned in the thread above and face lifting the first gen X150 to 2nd or 3rd gen.

The best upgrade for convertible owners. It's what the factory forgot.
