To use as a background, I wanted to get photo of the car, in dark, with light from the top only illuminating the general shape of it. Couldn't figure out how to arrange it with the real one, so I used the 1:18 AUTOart model instead (bigger here):

That is a super low contrast shot! As a photographer, I would have like to see a hint more of the front profile curve fading away as well on the left side. I think that might give it a tiny bit greater balance to the frame. Don't get me wrong though, that is a really nice shot!
I agree with the front ending abruptly, it ends at the headlight. The bonnet behind it is barely visible, and neither is the nose cone. I've never gotten around to trying out RAW shooting (though admittedly this is where it would shine) so there's not much detail to gain. I did, however, take some shots with different exposures and flash angles. Not sure how to proceed with them though.

If you had a hardtop I would ask for a shot (since I dont have any equipment anymore from my hobby)
Long exposure and painting the outline with light from a flashlight.

I thought about trying high key with my vert since it is white anyway but we've so much rain lately that I can't find a setting to use for it.
Here is the best I could do with Aosaithya's shot....working with a low rez JPEG, plus my screen is not calibrated on this machine, makes for limited results.

The AUTOart model is nice, and the interior is pretty detailed too. Much more so than that of a 1:64 Matchbox car.

Just picked her up
Hay guys I’m back and now a proud owner of a 2013 XKR. Just loving the new engine and front end. I had a 2008 XKR and loved it but I’m liking the new one more. She feels brand new, 14km only on her.. I’ll start doing some searching but man she feels like she needs wheel spacers pronto lol..

Those 5-spoke chrome wheels are "Cremona", and are exclusive to the 2008 XKR Portfolio models. OEM for only one year. Also included Alcon brakes. Enlarge the picture for details.
