I've looked at extra warranty for when my dealer one runs out but I've decided against it. I'm not sure how they are where you're from, but here in the UK they're expensive and they have loads of exclusions. Some so much so that it's pointless having them. Even one part can become void if it's affected by another part that isn't oem. I'd imagine for a Jaguar also, you'd be paying a premium because of the expense of fixing jags. Personally I'll be putting aside some money each month for the repair fund instead of paying into a expensive warranty, should the situation arise. Good luck in getting the car you want. I'm absolutely blown away with mine 😊
Yes, 4.2 liter! After my research, i decided against the 5.0. I would love the extra HP but the potential problems seems greater on the 5.0. What color Blue is that?? We don't see that many of that color in the US. Beautiful car!

Default That is

That's a 'kayanite blue. It was going to be that or silver.
Yeh I read about potential problems. Only one I was worried about was the timing chain tensioners and arms. But as my car has only 29000 on the clock I'm told not to worry. I'll only use approved oil too which I think is part of that issue.

He bought with 40k and now had over 80k. The 80's & 90's were not kind to Jaguar....scares me a little. I'm old enough to remember. Hope to be on with pics soon.
cant speak on issues. I just got mine 2 weeks ago, and...people are gonna yell at me...I haven't even taken it out of the garage yet.

I hear ya. Believe me, my wife cant understand either... I just sold my corvette that I bought 2 years ago. I didn't even put 200 miles on it. I have the following vehicles at presnt time: 07 Jag XK (just bought), 2012 Audi A7 bought 2 yrs ago, not even 10k on it yet, 01 GMC Yukon XL (lifted, tires, etc)-less than 10k since 2004 when did lift work, and a 2006 Audi A4 with 166,000 miles. which do ya think I drive daily? The A4 was gonna be sold when my wife bought her Volvo, but I said, "why sell it, what am I going to sell for", it's worth it to me to just drive it and keep mileage and wear off the A7. Now my wife says I have 3 toys. eh, what ya gonna do. it'd kill me to drive the Jag every day and wear it down, road damage etc. instead, i'll keep it in garage, take out now and then, enjoy it and tuck it away, wipe er down and enjoy next time.

i am a car *****! i admit it....i have had 2-3 at a time...but usually i just keep for a few years and then move on. I am 57 and i think this Jag would be #54!!
It drives my wife crazy! She is completelyt content with the same car forever. I have never had one for over 3 years! Sadly, i love all kinds. I have driven as my everyday car many old streetrods....Hell, i put 50k miles on a 1941 Chevy Streetrod that only had 1200 miles when i bought it from the builder. It kills me just to see them sitting there!

Default No point wasting

Yeh I agree, that cars should be driven and appreciated, not sat in a garage all the time. It doesnt do them any good either, sitting about. Mine is a daily driver and seeing as my job will be moving closer to home soon, I wont be putting too many miles on her anyway. Saying that, I cant help it at the moment, she's addictive lol. Ive had guys at work crowding round my new Jag, they appreciate what a beauty she is, not to mention that 5L V8 Supercharged Heart she has. Gives you a sense of pride knowing others recognise the greatness of our motors. You dont get that when it's hidden away.

Yeah...I’m trying to devise a way to secure it. Whatever it was originally affixed to seems to be missing. :-o

Without going out in the pouring rain to check my car, I'll rely on the Workshop Manual!

As I recall, the splash shield has two spring nuts at the rear outer edge. The air deflector has a "tongue" which engages in a square slot in the splash shield:

The wheelarch liner goes over the top of the deflector which is then fixed with two M6 x 21 torx bolts pasing through the matching holes in the bottom of the wheelarch liner into the spring nuts.
