Painted gloss black Nevis wheels..... they look a lot better than I thought they would.

Thanks! At risk of sounding pedantic, they're actually powdercoated but I doubt the finish would be much different, just more durable on powdercoating. I was hesitant at first but I found a photo on this very forum of a silver XKR with black pack retrofit (it was never officially available on a silver car) with black Nevis wheels and I was sold after that.

I am sorry for my low activity.
Here are two pictures of my XKR. I repainted the car after an accident with a matte pearl white from Mercedes's Designo. I forgot the exact name of the color.

This was at Bahrain's GP track in March 2019. I increased the profile of the tires by 5 both in front and back, 255/40/20 and 295/35/20. I wanted to reduce the error in the speedometer reading and reduce the wheel well gap.

This was in October 2019 when I first got my new wheels on. I had to go with narrower tires because of availability, 245/35/21 and 285/30/21. The wheels are 9/10.5 inch wide.

Finally had some good weather for pictures of the new grille. Took a few days to make and install, but totally worth it!. I think this will be my final exterior mod for a while.

Added MB AMG V8 emblems. Waiting for a 5.0 emblem for the trunk-lid and I'm done. (I see I forgot the piece of tape on the tire!)

All these gleaming XK's. Here's a filthy one after a fast 2000 miles across Europe to the sun in happier days.

I've got one booked for June but it's looking less likely every day.

This reminds me of a famous (in Australia) picture that was published in wheels magazine of the road test for the Falcon GTHO where they took it up to 140mp/h on the Hume Highway:

Awesome car moments captured

But, 270 KmH is about 167 mph. I know of the stock limiter at 155, then the XKR175 at 175 mph, then the XKR-S at.... I think 300 KmH which is 185 mph, but what/where is the 270 limit? I'm not calling foul or anything, I just don't know.

Fairly well known that the limiters are often not in place on these cars, from what I've read.

I was in no hurry. ;-)

And, regarding the limiter: I don`t believe the speedo to tell the truth. According to my GPS 268km/h on the speedo are actually 254km/h.
