Took mine out for a drive just before the UK went into lockdown a couple of weekends ago. First "proper" photos since I completed the "black pack" stuff.
i did mine the same way.For some reason, those wheels look better being black than they do silver
Going out in sunshine.... :-) Checking the liquid level of the Coolant, Steering and Brake Fluid for the ride... A tour from Upper Austria around Wachau Region. Take a break... Wachau Region Church in Lower Austria Another break Coming back in rain, about 466km and a full tank load later...;-)

Yeah I think so too. I found a photo on here of a silver XKR with black Nevis wheels and that convinced me to do it. I'd done the black pack grilles and window trim already.

Nice ride. The new front end was first introduced as a 2010 change in NA. In the UK and Europe I believe it came along with the 5.0 litre engine as a 2009 car. Does your car have the 4.2 or 5 litre engine? If it's the 5.0 then your car is the NZ equivalent to the NA 2010.
I think, there are cars out there, that are 2009 with the 5.0 motor, mine is the 4.2 built in 2008 but put the vin in and it is model year 2009, I think the 4.2 was built up to early 2009 and then the 5.0, but as far as I can find out, at present, is that the front end on mine is original
The front end conversion could have been done by a previous owner, I've seen it done a few times. The car looks great anyway and you've got the "Portfolio" side wing vents too, very nice. Regards the model years, the earliest 5.0 cars are all MY2010, MY2009 was the last of the 4.2s. Model Year does not necessarily correspond with build date though; my own 5.0 XKR is a MY2010 but was built mid-2009 and has a late 2009 UK registration plate (59-plate to us in the UK). I have seen UK cars on 2008 registrations/build dates that are classed as MY2009 as well.

If it is the car I think it is, it came in to the country like that.
Christchurch European had it for sale in Jun 2015 for $69,995. It had done 32,000 km at that point.
Yes that is the car as far as I know, a bloke in Auckland brought from them had a couple of years did a couple thousand K's the the Guy I brought it off lived in Blenheim it has 45k on the clock now.
Interesting it has the latter model front, haven't be able to out any build info on it as yet
Cheers
Definitely! Better than the goo can, compressor and a stiff upper lip. Turned out the pothole tore a decent chunk out of the inner sidewall and the goo can would not have helped.
I was actually going out to a double date and meeting my SO there, so i was fancied up. I got dirt on me but oh well, and we all still had fun. The tire was 75 dollars for the new tire and install and it will be ready tomorrow, dry cleaning for my dress is 15 so 90 bucks down the toilet isn't as bad as it could be.
