One year of ownership

So today is exactly one year since I bought my 2008 XK. It was a one owner 35k miles car which took me a year to find after deciding to move from my very reliable x300 to the x150.
Just the fact that I remember that it was this day a year ago that I made the purchase tells you how I feel about the car. I chose the 4.2 l over the 5.0 liter for many of the same reasons that have been discussed here in several threads.
After 1 year and exactly 9k miles (and I only drive it when the roads are dry) I love the car and look forward to getting into it every morning. I've had the glove box issue where I've had to use the cotter pin method to repair it and I will need to have the headliner redone soon. I hope I don't jinx myself but I'm now on my second well kept 10 to 12 year old Jaguar and I'm delighted with the reliability.

I've had my 07 for a year and a half and 12k miles. I've done routine maintenance (belts, filters, fluids) and had to pop the washer hose back onto the pump for the wiper washers. It's been less intense than the 10 years I've owned my 00 XKR, but both have been very good cars to me. My 2000 has been through my first post college job, 3 serious relationships, to my current state. I've become attached to it, and since it's got meh resale with 110k miles (despite it's probably in better cosmetic and mechanical shape than most 50k mile cars due to just replacing tons of stuff), I'll keep it and use it up.
These X150s are great cars! Good headroom and legroom (unless you're dumb enough to ride in back), pretty easy to get in and out of, easy to drive normally, nice enough ride, decent power, easy to work on, and oh, they look VERY attractive. My 69yo mother drives my car on a regular basis as it's so easy to make it just a regular car; which I mean as the highest compliment.
