My wife once bought an old Pontiac with a Rebuilt title. It was junky. She also bought a Lexus IS250 and it was perfect. She sold it three years later for $2,000 more than what she bought it for and hadn't done anything to it.
It all comes down to how good a job the rebuilder did, and if the buyer is okay with having a rebuilt and is okay with any diminished resale. Course, if a person doesn't intend to sell it until worn out, who really cares?
