You're in Canada and your 2008 XKR has Alcon brakes but probably isn't a Portfolio Edition model. Yes, Alcons were standard equipment on the 2008 Portfolio models.

But you didn't have to buy a Portfolio to get them. The Alcon Performance Brake Package was also a standalone option for 2008. I believe the price was US$5,000, the same as in 2009 when Alcons became optional on the Portfolio Edition.

. I ❤ ACC, too.

Adaptive Cruise Control was a $2,200 option on my 2009 XKR Portfolio convertible. It's easily identified by the 2 rotary switches on the right side of the steering wheel.

I'm a fan of ACC. On the earlier XK's it'd cut out at like 30 mph. A bit primative by today's standards. ASL has its usefulness. Lifesaver when needed.

When I first started using ACC it would keep active until I came to a complete stop, then disengage. I've tried it many times since and it only does a complete stop under certain, uneventful occurrences. Other than those times, it disengages earlier. It's hit or miss if it will complete a stop.
