Default Paint protection while traveling

Has anyone ever used any type of bra, clear bra, tracwrap, or painter's masking tape on their cars when traveling long distances? I've seen all the above on other forums, but would like some input from Jag owners.

Tx,
Dale

I have never seen any of the above, and would NOT use the old style leatheret type bra on the front. They can really ruin the paint surface.

Take the side roads, keep off the highway and stay back a good distance from other vehicles. It is almost impossible to avoid chips. Allot depends on how clean the road surface is.

Painters tape is easy to apply and pull off. I don't see anyone using it for long distant driving, just on a race track environment.

If it's just for a trip why not use 4-6 coats of clear Platidip. When you get home just peel it off.

I'm curious how it would work with that 3M spray can film you see on the TV commercials.

I have the stuff, and was going to try it on my California run, but our temps just fell to the mid to low 40's (Not ideal for application), and i just put my back out of whack, so I'll have to skip it for this Holiday roadtrip.... Grrrrrrr
Sorry, will report on it someday soon.....
